Jazz After Dark
About this event
Get ready for a brand-new side of JT Band.
This time, the band is bringing a fresh swing program to GULBAR β upbeat, energetic, danceable jazz built for a night when sitting still simply isnβt an option.
For this special show, JT Band will be joined by Rita Kireieva on vocals, creating a two-vocalist lineup full of personality, movement, and big-stage energy. Expect classic swing influences, familiar melodies, stylish arrangements, and that irresistible rhythm that makes you want to get up and dance.
🎟 Early Bird β $10 online until October 30
🎟 General Admission β $15 on October 31 & at the door
This will be the first show of JT Bandβs new swing program, and weβre especially excited about this one. Itβs lively, stylish, fun, and full of the kind of jazz energy that takes over the whole room.
If you love live music, dancing, or simply want a night that feels different from the usual, we definitely recommend joining us for this one.

Jazz Room at GULBAR is a home for live jazz in Calgary β built around great music, local talent, and a genuine sense of community.
We host live jazz every Friday, along with selected shows on other dates throughout the month. Our goal is simple: to make high-quality live jazz accessible, welcoming, and exciting for both longtime jazz lovers and people who are just discovering the scene.
Our stage features a mix of established Calgary musicians, emerging local artists, special collaborations, and new programs created specifically for Jazz Room. Many of our shows are free or budget-friendly, making it easy to experience incredible live music without turning jazz into an exclusive night out.
Jazz Room is more than just a series of concerts. Itβs a space where musicians can perform for an engaged audience, experiment with new ideas, build connections, and be heard in a room designed for live music β with a proper stage, professional sound, lighting, and an atmosphere that lets the music take centre stage.
By coming to a Jazz Room show, youβre not only enjoying a great evening β youβre also supporting local musicians, Calgaryβs jazz community, and an independent project dedicated to growing the live jazz scene.
Come for the music, discover new artists, meet people who love jazz, and be part of what weβre building.
Live jazz every Friday + selected dates.
Some shows are free, others ticketed.
