JazzYYC Youth Lab Band Fall Showcase

About this event

This JazzYYC Youth Lab Band Program is a joint initiative between the Conservatory at Mount Royal University and JazzYYC. Established in 2013, this award winning ensemble is comprised of local youth aged 14 to 20. The JazzYYC Youth Lab builds on the strength of the Calgary music and educational community through expert instruction and participation in an advanced jazz ensemble and combos.

Join us for an exciting evening at The MRU Nickle Theatre featuring both Lab Band ONE and Lab Band TWO! From classic big band standards to intimate small-ensemble improvisations, come support the next generation of jazz artists in one of the city’s most vibrant cultural spaces.
