Parkdale United Church Wednesday Jazz is featuring the Izy Montanez Quartet on November 11th.  Izy Montanez is a jazz drummer and bandleader based in Calgary.  An emerging musician on the local scene, he has become known for his energy and versatility among the young generation of Canadian jazzmen.  He is an active collaborator on the local scene, regularly collaborating with other young Calgary artists.  His style primarily blends jazz, funk, and groove pop. His bands revisit both classic swing and rhythmic modern covers.
